Romanyk Consulting Corporation is pleased to announce that we have begun work with the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) on Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, MD. USAMRICD is a subordinate to the United States Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC), headquartered at Fort Detrick, MD. USAMICD is the nation’s leading laboratory in science and technology within the field of medical chemical countermeasures research and development.
We have been engaged to provide assistance to USAMRICD with their annual budgeting process. We have created proprietary software, currently in use at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) for United States government research entities to assist in the creation and entry of multiple year budgets as they relate to specific research projects. The software works in conjunction with the proposal submission process and adds process value by improving the following:

- Accurate & Consistent Process for Budget Forecasting
- Reductions in Budget Planning Process Time & Effort
- Ease of Use
- Increase in Resources with End-to-End Automation
This resource management and planning solution brings together multiple pieces of information used to build research budgets based on sponsor requirements. Completed budgets are then reviewed by the sponsors and collaborative customers, and feedback is provided to the researcher where adjustments are made to the budget for final approval. There are provisions for auto-loading the finalized budget data to the sponsor data repositories as well as to the funding execution and tracking systems.
The software and database environment is currently being installed and configuration of the overall solution is taking place at USAMRICD with an anticipated completion scheduled for December 31, 2008. This implementation effort is being accomplished in conjunction with the activity based costing solutions being provided by our teaming partner, BearingPoint Management & Technology Consultants, to the USAMRMC resource management and comptroller’s office. We are proud to assist USAMRICD in their continued research in support of the Warfighter, National Security, the Department of Defense, and other Federal Agencies. |
