Organizational Assessment

RCC offers solutions to assess the overall effectiveness of an organization's structure. We work closely with our clientele and utilize several tools that will provide insight and awareness of process and communication issues impacting current structure. Using the following RCC analysis our clients will be able to create the most effective structure for their organization.

Communications Mapping

This analytical tool is applied by RCC to document and thoroughly understand the relative variety and frequency of interdepartmental and interpersonal communication. Such a tool is useful when organizational design and communication issues are perceived to be of major importance. RCC understands that this may provide insight into opportunities for restructuring or realignment. An additional benefit to this analytical approach is its ability to graphically depict interdepartmental contact relationships which allows better understand of how departments might be realigned.

Relationship Mapping

This assessment tool focuses on evaluating structural efficiency as well as leveraging of management resources. Our team uses it as a diagnostic tool to evaluate structural efficiency and identify potential realignment opportunities. Relationship mapping can also be used when assessing different organizational restructuring recommendations.

Span of Control

Span of Control analysis is a method used by RCC to assess the number of organizational units or departments, their arrangements, and the number of administrative layers in your organization. A major benefit of this analysis is that it graphically depicts the current administrative layers and an "optimal layer". This knowledge is applied by RCC in efforts to realign the organization.

Skills Based Analysis
A method based on a comparison of the tasks required for a particular process against the skills required of an incumbent for that position. RCC team members work with our clients to determine if the skills required for a job match the skills called for in the job description. This graphically illustrates "mismatches" or misalignments between the skills you require in your people and the skills your people actually need and use. Skill Based Analysis is helpful to identify training needs as well as realign workforce skills.

With established analytical tools and innovative approaches, RCC can assist in your challenges and provide your organization with the tools to become the most effective structure possible.
