10 Medical Center Campuses, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota

Performed as a Task Order under an IDIQ contract with the OCFM Central Office, Romanyk Consulting Corporation (RCC) conducted a Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) of ten (10) VA Hospitals located within VISN 23. The assessment consisted of approximately 7,777,499 gross square feet and 325 buildings. The RCC team provided hands-on inspections of the technical and physical aspects (Architectural, MEP, Structural, and Vertical Transportation) and performed tours, interviews, inspections, and research at each location.

FCA’s were conducted at the following sites:

  1. Des Moines VA Medical Center, Des Moines, IA

  2. Iowa City VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA

  3. Omaha VA Medical Center, Omaha, NE

  4. Grand Island VA Medical Center, Grand Island, NE

  5. Minneapolis VA Health Care System, Minneapolis, MN

  6. St. Cloud VA Health Care System, St. Cloud, MN

  7. Royal C. Johnson Veterans' Memorial Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD

  8. VA Black Hills Health Care System - Fort Meade Campus, Fort Meade, SD

  9. VA Black Hills Health Care System - Hot Springs Campus, Hot Springs, SD

  10. Fargo VA Health Care System, Fargo, ND

After a thorough visual inspection of the technical and physical conditions of VA Medical Center facilities, the RCC team updated the existing FCA database and the VA’s Capital Asset Inventory (CAI). Each asset was given a condition grade and RCC submitted detailed reports outlining any corrective action recommendations and associated costs.
