VISN 6: VA Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network
7 Medical Center Campuses, Virginia and North Carolina
Performed as a Task Order under an IDIQ contract with the OCFM Central Office, Romanyk Consulting Corporation (RCC) conducted a Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) of seven (7) VA Hospitals located within VISN 6. The assessment consisted of approximately 7,187,882 gross square feet and 281 buildings. The RCC team provided hands-on inspections of the technical and physical aspects (Architectural, MEP, Structural, and Vertical Transportation) and performed tours, interviews, inspections, and research at each location.
FCA’s were conducted at the following sites:
Charles George VA Medical Center (Asheville, NC)
Durham VA Medical Center (Durham, NC)
Fayetteville VA Medical Center (Fayetteville, NC)
W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Salisbury, NC)
Hampton VA Medical Center (Hampton, VA)
Hunter Holmes McGuire Hospital (Richmond, VA)
Salem VA Medical Center (Salem, VA)
After a thorough visual inspection of the technical and physical conditions of VA Medical Center facilities, the RCC team updated the existing FCA database and the VA’s Capital Asset Inventory (CAI). Each asset was given a condition grade and RCC submitted detailed reports outlining any corrective action recommendations and associated costs.
